I am a closet/wanna be yuppy. You know, the people who drive to the Fresh Market in their Volvo SUV wearing Ralph Lauren polo shirts (reality check...Walmart, old Mazda, BYU sweatshirt). So when my Dad told me their group had extra tickets to the Heart Ball (a charity auction/dinner/dance for the American Heart Association) I jumped at the chance.
Steve and I laughed as we drove to the dinner because we very rarely go anywhere after dark. After the silent and live acutions, we had a great dinner. I found it ironic that we ate red meat at the Heart Association fundraiser. The theme of the night was Old Hollywood, which I loved because the big band played Singin' in the Rain, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, etc, all night. The most memorable moment was when Steve danced 2 dances with me! I had to convince him once that we needed to get the "whole experience". But the second time he asked me to dance. I guess your spouse can surprise you after 6 years of marriage!
Our auction number (that never got used...Steve hid it after this pictures).jpg)

My Dad...always has to look like the goofball with the cute wife
When we arrived home I couldn't find Lindsey. I eventually found her and Shannon asleep in Shannon's room. Not only do I have a great sister, but a babysitter that loves my girl as much as I do and is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks Linds!
